Site Survey

I’ve been asked for photographs after my last post in which I described the chosen location for the railway.

Well, it’s true that a picture is worth a thousand words, though these aren’t great photos, so they might only be worth 7 or 8 hundred words. Though thinking back on it, my words weren’t particularly great words, so a thousand of them is probably fair.

Anyway, I’ve done my best to mark up the diagram to show orientation, so you might have some idea of where each photo is taken from.

1. Looking south along the hedgerow.
2. The line will run along the hedgerow.
3. Behind the lopsided rhododendron, the line will enter the southern tunnel.
4. Site of the southern tunnel, looking north.
5. The line will run alongside this wall.

Photos taken 1 March.
