Easter on the Moel Rhos

The Easter Eggspress was in service today, despite significant engineering works (much of the line is lifted for new trackbed, and some of it is underneath a pile of timber…)

  1. Today, Easter Sunday, Keith, Les and I exhibited 16mm models on the line at Swansea Engineers Society site where an ‘Easter Character Hunt’ was held by spotting cartoon figures inside the perimeter of the running lines of the 16mm railway there. Despite us being there, we were not on the list of ‘characters’! Easter eggs were freely given to the children of the parents who completed the contest.
A great day was had by all and much interest shown in our displays throughout the day.
Steam hauled rides were available all day and long queues waited patiently for rides on two gauges.
